Celebrate Mardi Gras with a little Creole Flavor
It’s Mardi Gras, and it’s time to celebrate with a little Creole menu, created by Chef Thomas Lents. We’ll be replacing our traditional Chef’s Choice Menu, with his take on a family-style Creole dinner.
Creole Cooking… originally known as “city food”. This style developed in the kitchens of wealthy and aristocratic city dwellers. The term Creole translates to mean “people of the colony”. As years passed, Creole food has become a blend of the various cultures of New Orleans that include Italian, African, German, Caribbean, Native American, and even Portuguese.
Our menu for the evening will feature four courses, served family style, at $48 per person.
* Muffaletta style chopped salad
* Sole and shrimp Etoufffe
* Andouille stuffed chicken
o Hoppin john
o Braised greens
* Duncan’s beignets
Reservations can be made via OpenTable, or by calling the Apparatus Room directly.
