Join Dessert Oasis Coffee Roasters as they pair up with Pastry Chef Duncan Spangler of Detroit Foundation Hotel and Will Lee of Grey Ghost Detroit; to showcase the variety of ways coffee can be experienced.
Cocktails, pour overs, and mocktails, all crafted around a single batch of Dessert Oasis’ coffee beans, will work in tandem to highlight the unique aspects of one single origin coffee in a way that will obliterate any notion that coffee can only be enjoyed before dark. Join us every Thursday, in the lounge of the Apparatus Room, located in the Detroit Foundation Hotel for “Foundation After Dark”, a weekly music series of some of the most talented Detroit based artists.
Look for announcements weekly on which artists will be performing live each Thursday from 7:30-11:00 pm.
As always, admission will be free, food and drinks will be rotating, and the music will be filling our lounge with all the best vibes.
Live art, local vendors and other surprises will also be a part of this amazing night in the city. Come and enjoy with us!
Mindfulness Brunch (Yoga, Meditation & Brunch)
Detroit Foundation Hotel and the Apparatus Room in partnership with Namaste Life and Equanimity Tribe are inviting you to attend Mindfulness Brunch and connect with incredible women through Yoga/Meditation & Brunch. We will start your #selfcaresunday morning off right with a combination of 30-minutes Vinyasa yoga for all levels followed by a seated meditation located within the Detroit Foundation Hotel event space.
Mindfulness Brunch is an afternoon of nourishment and connection with yourself and the community around you. With the mantra of gratitude and awareness, we invite you to take a mindfulness journey with us by opening your senses to the world around you and engaging with your inner being! As we transition into the spring season, it is important to focus on the positive changes that took place over the winter and take time for self-reflection.
We will move with our breath and end our yoga practice with meditation to bring mindfulness in conjunction with our movement to connect with your highest Self. Combining yoga and mindfulness meditation will help to improve our physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being. After yoga and meditation practice,please join us for a delicious Chef’s Choice Family Style Brunch in the private dining room at Apparatus Room prepared by two Michelin starred Chef Thomas Lents of the Detroit Foundation Hotel for some high-vibing nourishment.
