ROOTED IN HISTORY, REIMAGINED FOR TOMORROW
Built in 1929, this five-story landmark stood as the heart of the Detroit Fire Department for over 80 years. A beacon of public safety, it housed administrative offices, fire trucks, and the quarters of the city’s bravest first responders. The building’s exterior showcases a masterful blend of limestone and brick, accented by striking arched windows, intricate cornices, and ornamental carvings—hallmarks of the Romanesque Revival style.
Inside, form met function with soaring ceilings, expansive apparatus bays, and the iconic brass fire poles that once allowed Detroit’s firefighters to descend swiftly to answer the call of duty. Today, these historic details remain, seamlessly integrated into a modern space where history and hospitality converge.
